| Industrial Estate
Authority of Thailand manages Safety, |
| Health and Environment (SHE) from the
beginning of the industrial Estate design, by plan
of land usage, separated by usage area, such as
industrial area, commercial area, government supported
area, residence area and relaxation area. Includes
design of utilities, such as use water system, water
treatment system and telephone. |

| Map
Ta Phut Industrial Estate Office has the organization
for environment management to inspect factories from the
area use, business transaction and pollution controls,
such as waste water treatment, air pollution control,
waste disposal and mal order situation, to be under law
and acceptation.
Moreover, there is a tri-party team to control for
clear operation, consists of the Department of Industrial
Works, Policy and Environment Plan Office, pollution
Control Department, Industrial Estate of Thailand, Rayong
Province, Map Ta Phut Municipality, Public Health Province,
represent of community and teachers, who are in the
meeting, can listen to idea from the others about the
result of operation of control, environmental situation
and suggestion about the inspection standard together,
continuously improved by held the meeting every 1-2
months.

| Water
Quality |

Most of factories have their own waste
water treatment system, checked by monthly report
of electricity and chemical usage. |
|
Industrial Estate has 3 reserve central
waste water treatment systems, located in general
industrial and business industrial areas. |
|
There is a certified lab to collect
the sample water to check everyday and a station
to automatically check quality of water at the end
of the canal before draining into the sea, and online
the information of water quality to Map Ta Phut
Industrial Estate office.

| Air
Quality |
|
The factories installed equipment to
check the condition of air from the stacks all the
time and then send the record to The Industrial
Estate Authority of Thailand. |
|
There are 4 stations to automatically
check quality of air emission. They located around
Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in order to control
the quality of air in all directions and online
to the center at Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate office
and head office in Bangkok. |

| Waste
Management |
|
All factories must apply for permission
to take the wastes outside the area. |
|
General waste is taken to Map Ta Phut
Municipality according to the Municipality Parliament. |
|
Non-hazardous industrial waste can
be embed under the sanitary landfill, at the excavation
that is permitted for transaction by Department
of Industrial Works. |
|
Hazardous waste can be embed under
the secured landfill, at the excavation that is
permitted for transaction by Department of Industrial
Works. |
|
Recycle waste (can be reused) will
be considered by Industrial Estate Authority of
Thailand for appropriate method of recycle, which
is in compliance with the regulation before the
permission.

| Vigilance |
|
Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate office
has 4 stations to automatically check the quality
of air in the atmosphere around the Industrial Estate
in all direction, There is a station to automatically
check the quality of water at the end of the central
canal, before release water into the sea, There
is system to check the air released from the factories,
chimneys, All information will be sent to "The
information center of the quality of air and water
check, from draining major substance from the factories'
stacks" at the office of Map Ta Phut Industrial
Estate for continuous vigilance. |

The office of Map Ta Phut Industrial
Estate has established and operation center for
environment database and safety in order to develop
the Environment database Management System. |
|
There is a Hot-line system, number
1504, for notification of troubles, accidents at
the notification center and 24 - hrs coordination.
